That was then, and this is now.

Here is a playlist from a while ago at that other church where I used to do the music in the mornings. Everyone really liked it when we had music, except once when it was too loud or a few other times when it was too something else. It’s always too loud or too soft, too this or that, unless you are in a house owned by three bears. I was always gracious with the complaints, but inwardly I was shaking my head and not smiling cuz I was asked to do it, and I did it, and I know that some people want to beat up on someone else even on Sundays, and they meant no harm I am sure. I do still have some friends from there thank God. I think that most people did not pay much attention to the actual tunes anyway, but I did put quite a bit of thought into my selections every week just in case someone was there who was into it, so to speak. It would have been thrilling to discuss all or any of it in between sips from a nice copper-toned mug. I suppose it could still happen!
