1403# is the door code of a choice prayer room off an enclosed hallway between a chocolate processor and a former purveyor of fine breads, now a brewery in SE Portland. I entered the code and prayed this afternoon for a sabbath full of peace, and many days of such.
A delightful time of feeding folks at St. Francis dining hall was earlier, and dang it if there wasn’t some praying there too. It was happening right there behind the counter by some fine breads—donated—along with soup, a large sausage patty, fingerling potatoes and more. I was wearing gloves that time and thinking of St. Christopher.
Hours later, now it is time to light a candle . . .
