Almond flour, butter, sugar. An egg maybe? Almond extract perhaps (good luck with that).

I saw this cake at the Portland Farmer’s Market yesterday on my last true Sabbath for a while, and I saw it today before I tasted it.


Dense (as in weighty due to substance, not size). Pricey, because of its pure ingredients, but worth it. Just enough sweetness there to keep you wanting more. Needs nothing at all, except someone to enjoy it.

I have found the ideal cake, suitable for all occasions . . .
