Toward the Dance of Sunday

Here’s to Day One. It might turn into a dress-up day for me, but that is fine. And, it’s about time.

The rest of it is not about time; the dance of Sunday is to a symphonic song of soul. The slowest of dances, the most intimate of close dances, the most un-square of barn dances, did indeed begin in a barn. Actually, it all never began, it simply is. But, the barn episode (The Incarnation), was a marker for all before and since, where we’ve been, where we are, and where we are going.

Let Everything Praise the LORD

Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD!

(Psalm 150, ESV).

Let’s dance all the way in, and may we be smiling—laughing—as we greet our King . . .
