Not at first blush.
Not even at the slow realization of a smile.
Sometime after contemplation, not during it.
After the actual caress of the light? And before.
Not at that time.
But yes, after it.
Maybe even during coffee, but more likely after the first cup.
Not while praying. Okay, perhaps while praying.
Not when any seriousness or frown or weight is creeping, lurking. No, go back and begin again if that happens.
Go back to the smile, and repeat that realization. More slowly.
Let it all settle. With no heaviness at all.
There . . . that certain part of morning. The part when it is all certain, and not just a dream.
